Privacy Policy
Website waitlist
If you submit your email on orbleo.com, we store email address, signup timestamp, and browser language (from Accept-Language). We do not store IP addresses. We do not send marketing sequences. The list is only so we can notify you when Orbleo is available on the App Store. Data sits in Cloudflare D1 on the free tier, processed by our Worker on orbleo.com. To delete your email, write to hello@orbleo.com and we will remove it.
What the app stores, and where
- On your devices: settings, packs you make, answer history (including typed questions), Daily Orb / Daily Trivia streak, Workout totals, themes and wheel options. Stored on your iPhone and Apple Watch; the two sync with WatchConnectivity.
- Shared Couples Orb (optional): if you invite a partner, answers (pack name, time, first name) and trivia duel picks live in the inviter’s iCloud via CloudKit, shared only with that one person. Typed questions are never shared. Orbleo’s developer has no access to that iCloud data.
- Shared packs: sent only when you tap Share, through the app you choose (for example Messages).
Smart answers
Question type is worked out on your device. If Apple Intelligence is on, the iPhone may reword answers with Apple’s on-device model; Orbleo sends nothing over the internet for this. The watch may pass a question to its paired iPhone over WatchConnectivity. You can turn Smart answers off in Settings. Questions about self-harm, emergencies, medicine, law or money get a short help note that isn’t saved.
How long things are kept, and how to delete them
History keeps your last 100 answers; Workout mode keeps only today’s totals. Couples Orb keeps up to 150 shared answers; each person keeps their last 30 trivia duels. Stop sharing / Leave removes shared history as described in the app. Deleting the app removes on-device data. You can clear History in the app, or remove iCloud data in Settings ▸ [your name] ▸ iCloud ▸ Manage Account Storage. Waitlist emails stay until launch notice or until you ask us to delete them.
Purchases (StoreKit)
Orbleo Plus is a one-time in-app purchase handled by Apple via StoreKit. The app only learns whether the purchase is active. It never sees your payment details.
Siri, Shortcuts, widgets and voice
Handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. Orbleo only receives the pack and any question you typed, and keeps them on your device. Widgets read the app’s own App Group data. Dictation and “Read answers aloud” use system speech on your device.
HealthKit (optional)
Orbleo does not read your health data. If you turn it on in Settings, finished 5-minute circuits can be saved as workouts through optional HealthKit write access. You can leave this off.
Third parties
App: only Apple services (App Store / StoreKit, iCloud / CloudKit, Siri, dictation, Apple Intelligence, optional HealthKit). Website: Cloudflare hosts the site and waitlist database; no ads, analytics or other marketing trackers. No other third parties receive waitlist emails.
Reminders and ratings
The Daily Orb reminder is off unless you turn it on. It is a local notification; permission is asked only when you enable it. Once, after a three-day streak, Apple’s standard rating prompt may appear; ratings go to Apple.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Do not submit a child’s email to the waitlist.
